Design for awareness

This is a project for me - for you - for some. Definitely not for all. It’s a project which, despite of being published on the internet, will only reach 59% percent of people - that’s 41% of people world wide who do not have access to the internet. While this is just one example of privilege, this project will reach its target audience: Europeans and North-Americans, approximately 90% of whom use the internet. And approximately 100% of whom are living in privileged circumstances. Because sometimes, we all need to be reminded of how lucky we are.

Being gay is punishable by death in 13 countries. ->

The NGO ‘Reporters Without Borders’ describes the freedom of speech in over 70 countries worldwide as either a difficult or very serious situation. ->
