The revised search function offers the user a quick selection for categories. Now it's even easier to listen to your favorite songs.
For many people, the mobile YouTube app is one of the most frequently used applications. Since the app is used so often, it is even more important that it can be used perfectly and has a flawless user interface that corresponds to the user behavior. As a designer I often see large websites and apps that leave a lot of potential for improvement. For me, this was especially true for the YouTube App 2016, which had a redesign more than necessary - the whole user interface didn't make much sense in its structure and wasn't oriented to other apps the user was already used to.

The new video player not only looks good! With new features like a “Heart"; function and a “watch later"; button, watching videos is now even more fun.
“Oh that looks really fresh! Let’s see if Youtube adapts any of this. I certainly hope so!”
