Fluctuation
Set around the ideas of lightness, fluidity and motion, I transformed this skirt into a statement look that translates the designers vision through this series of photos. My concept behind this shoot was to capture the lightness and fluidity that makes this garment. Shooting in a studio setting, I wanted to make sure that I worked with light that captured all the detail of the fabric. By using back-light, we highlighted the texture of the garment, while creating an interesting range of muted tan tones.
By directing and leading the model to follow fluid motion and a set of quick and slow movements, the garment followed the body and fell into interesting and captivating shapes and silhouettes. The garment was designed by friend and fashion designer Henry Marsh, building the third look of his collection ‘A Cure For Sorrow’.
